Recap: WAWA Workshop at SNS Stockholm

We teamed up with WAWA Print Shop to host a laid-back, hands-on workshop led by Axel Wahl — founder of WAWA and the creative force behind the Swedish Craft Collection. For one evening, friends of the brand and customers who picked up the collection at our Stockholm store were invited into Axel’s world to experience the making of WAWA’s craft firsthand.

Axel opened the night with a walk-through of the 2025 Swedish Craft Collection, which draws from classic Swedish symbols like the Stockholm coat of arms and Tre Kronor. The collection blends these heritage references with a contemporary sensibility, incorporating hand-carved wooden sculptures, Dala horses, and embroidered textiles. Every piece is hand-printed or screen-printed, and some are hand-dyed — meaning no two items are exactly alike. Each carries its own subtle quirks and personality.

The workshop expanded on that philosophy. Axel guided guests as they customised their own WAWA Cap with patches, prints, and details inspired by the collection. The atmosphere was easygoing and creative — a chance to experiment, add personal touches, and experience the handmade methods that define WAWA.

As Axel says:
“Each piece comes with a Wawa patch — a small token of our craft. Use it to customize or repair your clothes: iron it on, then sew around the edges for best results. Have fun!”

The evening captured that spirit entirely — giving our community the opportunity to create something personal, connect with the craft behind the collection, and leave with a piece of Swedish tradition shaped by their own hands.
