Karhu is one of these sneaker companies that aren’t in it for just the hype. The Finnish brand established in 1916 and named Karhu in 1920 (Karhu = Finnish for bear) is a classic running shoe company famous for world-class running trainers on tracks around the globe. Famous for its three stripes, which they later sold to a brand from Germany, they produced athletic shoes with great international reputation. Karhu was the first company to patent air-cushioned shoes and pioneered also on the basketball shoe market with the Harlem Air.

With the Fusion 2.0 Karhu brings back an updated version of the 90s running shoe classic Fusion. Released in 1996 Karhu brought back the original designer for the 2.0s, updating the sole unit and upper measurements. With the “Linnut Pack” Karhu pays homage to the great bird-watching heritage in Finland, every pair of the pack stands for a rare bird species. The Lunar Rock / Muted Clay model features Lunar Rock grey on the suede and mesh upper with a Muted Clay collar as well as a neoprene sock liner and an Air deck insole with bird graphics. The white midsole comes with the Karhu Fulcrum technology enabling the “Rolling Effect” created by Karhu and a gum rubber outsole.
