In 1984 Reebok introduced the Workout Lo as a multi-purpose gymwear shoe. The custom H-strap, which is now iconic, was added by its designer Edward Lussier to give the user a better feel and fit. While the company transferred to be an American company, in reverse, the new owner Paul Fireman decided to add the Union Jack to the shoe, which is still part of the model.
This Reebok Workout Lo in collaboration with Opening Ceremony, the American retailer and fashion brand gives the classic model a flashy look, with a red patent leather all over the upper, while the mid- and outsole are kept in white. The tonal tongue logo and the Opening Ceremony branding on the laces finish up this nostalgic shoe.
