The Nike Air Footscape can easily be called one of the most technical shoes from the 90`s. Nike went far and beyond with its Sports Research Lab and Advanced Product Engineering group to create something new. Toren Orzeck the man behind the design of this shoe from 1996, also responsible for out-of-the-ordinary silhouettes like the Air Moc, felt a shoe is needed that shows the anatomical shape of the foot, a form-fitting shoe so to speak. To relieve stress from the dorsal area of the foot, Toren came up with the idea to implement an asymmetrical lacing system. From this point on, the original Nike Air Footscape served as a model for many alterations to come, such as this premium Air Footscape NM in Obsidian. Constructed with a patterned textile upper and leather as well as suede features, this silhouette is as lovely as we know it with a premium angle.
