USA! USA! USA! A very logical color combo. Converse was founded in USA (Boston) in the year of 1908 by Marquis M. Converse. But it took until 1917 for the Converse All Star to see the light of day. By then basketball had grown to a bigger sport, and Converse were among the first to see the need of the players to play in a pair of real basketball shoes. You could find these sneakers on the feet of the pros in the NBA/ABA as late as the early 80-ies. But on the street, Chuck Taylor's All Star will live forever.
